SUMMARY OF
QUAILFICATIONS: Extensive Senior Project Management skills in
construction, engineering and planning for both ISP and OSP gained through
over 30 years in management in the telecommunications industry. Created
planning and engineering training programs while District Engineering Manager
for an ILEC which resulted in a more efficient engineering/planning
program. The engineers that went through the program were all promoted
to mid and/or upper management positions in engineering for several
telecommunications companies. I have engineered or project managed
everything from the replacement of a magneto exchange in Michigan, to the
design of fiber transport rings in three cities simultaneously, design work
on Centurylink’s Corning FlexNap FTTH projects in Colorado and Utah and
culminating as Director of Engineering for a nationwide group working on
Google Fiber and Centurylink projects. Some career highlights: ·
Resident Engineer for a three exchange REA project in
California with over 600 miles of buried plant, a new Digital CO, a 25 mile
microwave hop and T-CXR trunk route while monitoring two construction
companies simultaneously. ·
Designed and implemented an AutoCAD based
Engineering/Records system used by NYNEX for 10 years until the merger with
Bell Atlantic to form Verizon, plus trained in and used several other GIS
programs including MirorCAD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, EWO, OSPFM, BST.CAD,
Nexus Worx, Small World NDS and Weaver. ·
Designing and managing fiber optic projects since 1983 all
throughout the USA. ·
Outside Plant Liaison for 14 Digital CO conversion
projects for NYNEX in Rhode Island and Southeast Mass. ·
Successfully involved in regulatory issues requiring
detailed interaction with the State Legislature, the writing of many briefs
and testifying before the Public Service Commission. Charter Member of
the National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers (NARTE)

Director of Engineering in charge of a full suite of OSS
products for the telecommunications industry – product line eventually
